Presenters and Description: Federal Judge Edward J. Devitt had a significant impact on legal education, on the practice of law, and on the federal judiciary, both in Minnesota and nationally. The program will consist of four panel discussions regarding:

  • The Many Lives of Edward J. Devitt - panel speakers are Greg Stenmoe `81 and Brian Short.
  • Judge Devitt's Contributions to Professional Excellence in Federal Lawyering and the Movement for Practical Training in Law Schools - panel speakers are Prof. Eric Janus, Daniel O'Keefe `78 and Prof. Ann Juergens.
  • Judge Devitt and Professionalism in Judicial Administration - panel speakers are Justice Wilhelmina Wright, Judge Donald Alsop and Prof. Emeritus Peter N. Thompson.
  • Judge Devitt and the Criminal Trial - panel speakers are Joseph Friedberg, Earl Gray `70 and Judge Ann Montgomery.

Reception to follow from 5 - 6:30 pm.
