Description: This CLE will tackle three main topics: (1) Distinguishing different types of violence and that can arise in the context of ADR; (2) How a history of violence may impact your clients' cognition; and (3) The Post-Separation Power & Control "Wheel," an info-graphic which metaphorically connects the features of a wheel (i.e., spokes, rim, etc.) to aspects of post-separation intimate partner violence. Maureen Erickson-Robertshaw will speak from her wide range of experiences as a domestic violence advocate (she has advocated for both abusers and the abused), family law mediator, custody evaluator, parenting consultant and parenting time expeditor. Alex S. Glassmann, Esq., works as exclusively as a client-centered mediator, specializing in divorce and family disputes.
